21st Commonwealth Games: 4th weightlifting medal for India
India continued their amazing run in weightlifting as they bagged a fourth medal at the 21st Commonwealth Games. Teenager Deepak Lather from Haryana won the bronze medal in men's 69kg event. The youngster lifted 136kg in snatch and another 159kg in clean and jerk. A total of of 295kg was enough for Lather to seal a third place finish.
India's run in weightlifting continues
Lather finished behind Gareth Evans of Wales and Sri Lanka's Indika Mudiyanselage. The talented Haryana teenager joined the likes of Sanjita Chanu, who won a gold medal earlier on Friday in women's 53kg category. On Thursday, Mirabai Chanu and P Gururaja claimed gold and silver respectively in women's and men's events.

Deepak Lather is a weightlifter from Haryana, who made his Commonwealth Games debut in this edition. He holds the amazing feat of being the youngest athlete (15 years) to hold the national record in the 62kg category.
