What's the story
Seamer Lungi Ngidi was the pick of South Africa's bowlers against New Zealand in the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy semi-final in Lahore.
Ngidi chipped in with three wickets as the Black Caps slammed a record-breaking 362/6 in 50 overs. NZ's innings had two centurions in Rachin Ravindra and Kane Williamson.
Kagiso Rabada was the only other Proteas bowler to take multiple wickets.

Ngidi produced the match's first breakthrough for South Africa in the form of Will Young (21), with NZ electing to bat.
The Kiwis didn't lose anymore wickets for the next 26 overs, with Ravindra and Williamson doing the damage. Rabada broke the partnership by removing the former.
Ngidi, who later dismissed Daryl Mitchell (49) and Michael Bracewell (16), conceded 72 runs in 10 overs.

The Proteas seamer too 3,048 balls, only behind Morne Morkel (2,859). Ngidi went past Imran Tahir, who attained the feat in 3,050 deliveries.
