Bangladesh pulled off a stunning comeback against India in Match 2 the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy in Dubai.
Despite losing five wickets for a mere 35 runs, they posted a competitive total of 228/10.
The turnaround was largely due to a monumental 154-run partnership between centurion Towhid Hridoy and Jaker Ali.
They recorded the highest sixth-wicket partnership for Bangladesh in ODIs.

A stunning stand between Hridoy and Ali
Hridoy joined forces with Ali in the ninth over and the two youngsters showcased remarkable character.
They batted brilliantly in the middle overs and added 154 runs. While Jaker Ali was dismissed for 68, Towhid Hridoy made a stunning hundred.
The latter also added some vital runs with tail-enders after Mohammed Shami dismissed Ali in the 43rd over.

Shami's 200th ODI wicket breaks Hridoy-Jaker partnership
The lethal combination of Hridoy and Jaker was eventually broken by experienced Shami.
He took his 200th ODI wicket by sending Jaker Ali (68 off 114 balls) back with a brilliant catch by Virat Kohli at long-on.
The wicket not only ended the highest sixth-wicket stand against India in ODIs but also marked Shami's 200th ODI wicket.
He went on to scalp a fifer.

Hridoy-Jaker duo sets new record against India
As mentioned, Hridoy and Jaker recorded the highest sixth-wicket partnership for Bangladesh in ODIs.
They also stitched the highest sixth-wicket partnership against India in ODIs, adding 154 runs off 206 balls.
The duo, who also scripted the highest sixth-wicket stand in CT history, became the third Bangladesh pair to register a 150-plus stand in the competition.
They have joined Shakib Al Hasan-Mahmudullah (224 vs New Zealand, 2017) and Tamim Iqbal-Mushfiqur Rahim (166 vs England, 2017).

Maiden ODI ton for Hridoy
Hridoy, who went down as the last batter, made 100 off 118 balls (6 fours, 2 sixes).
This was his maiden hundred and overall the eighth 50-plus score in the format.
Playing his 34th game, he has raced to 977 runs at an average of 36.18. He owns 170 runs across three ODIs vs India at 56.66 (100: 1, 50: 1).
Hridoy, who recorded his third List A ton, is playing his maiden Champions Trophy game.
Ali
Second ODI fifty for Ali
Ali smoked four boundaries en route to his 114-ball 68.
This was his second fifty across six ODI innings as he has raced to 219 runs at 54.75.
Ali is playing his maiden game against India and also his debut match in an ICC ODI event.
Overall, this was his 14th half-century in List A cricket (100s: 2).
