With the ICC Men's Champions Trophy 2025, JioHotstar has established a new benchmark in India's live sports streaming industry.
The tournament received over 540 crore views and close to 11,000 crore minutes of watch time.
The final match between India and New Zealand alone received an incredible 124.2 crore views, peaking at a concurrency rate of 6.12 crore.
India won their third Champions Trophy title after beating New Zealand in Dubai.
Regional preferences
Hindi-speaking regions lead viewership
The 2025 Champions Trophy final witnessed a massive viewership from Hindi-speaking regions. Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Maharashtra, Goa, Punjab, and Haryana were the top contributors to this trend.
Further, JioHotstar also witnessed a massive growth in large-screen viewing, recording more than 80% penetration in Wi-Fi-enabled CTV households, with Maharashtra recording the highest viewership.
