Champions League: United to face Barcelona, Spurs pitted against City
The Champions League 2018-19 draw for the quarter-finals is out. And there is plenty of excitement surrounding the blockbuster battles in store. Three-time winners Manchester United will face Lionel Messi-led Barcelona. Premier League outfits Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur will fight it out. Liverpool will take on FC Porto as Juventus and Ajax will meet each other. Here's more.

The eight teams also know the path to the finale after potential semis draw was also announced. Manchester United could face Liverpool if both win their last-eight ties. Meanwhile, Manchester City and Juventus could face-off in semis, if they win their respective ties. The quarter-final first leg tie is on April 9 and 10. The semi-finals will be on April 30 and May 1.
Why Manchester United will play at home first?
Meanwhile, City and United were actually both drawn away in the first leg of the quarters. For safety reasons they are not allowed to play at home on the same day or even consecutive nights. Therefore, as United finished lower in EPL last season, their first leg against Barca will now be at Old Trafford. United had beaten PSG in the round of 16.
Old memories for Solskjaer at Camp Nou
Manchester United's draw against Barca will see manager Solskjaer return to the Camp Nou. He had scored that dramatic injury-time winner at the venue in their 2-1 win over Bayern Munich in the 1999 Champions League final.
