    What's the story

The UEFA Champions League 2019-20 round of 16 returns with two high-profile matches on Tuesday.

Defending champions Liverpool take on Spanish side Atletico Madrid.

Meanwhile, Borussia Dortmund and Paris Saint-Germain could provide magic at Ruhr Valley with both teams boasting of a dream attack.

Ahead of an entertaining set of games, we look at the complete preview.

    Atletico vs Liverpool

High-flying Liverpool will test Atletico Madrid severely

Liverpool are flying high and their performances have been impressive for quite some time now.

After winning the UCL last season, the Reds picked up the UEFA Super Cup and the FIFA Club World Cup as well.

They are also set to win the Premier League title this season and are unbeaten so far.

With such quality and consistency, they are the favorites.

    Klopp

Jurgen Klopp wary of a transitional Atletico Madrid

Atletico are undergoing a transition and have suffered an indifferent form this season.

They are fourth in La Liga.

"They (Atletico) give you absolutely no presents," said Jurgen Klopp.

"They are a really well organized, well oiled machine who are amazing at squeezing results. They are in a transition period, that's normal, but they are fighting with all they have. It's really difficult."

    Stats

Atletico haven't lost at home under Simeone in UCL knockouts

Since 2013-14, Atletico have reached the knockout stages of the Champions League six times in seven seasons.

The Spanish side has never lost at home under manager Diego Simeone in the Champions League knockout stages.

The Reds are winless in their last five away games against Spanish opposition in Europe (L4, D1).

    Dortmund vs PSG

Dortmund vs PSG could be a thriller

The Champions League tie between French champions PSG and Dortmund, who are third in the Bundesliga, could be a thriller.

PSG's last five game have contained 29 goals, whereas, Dortmund's matches have witnessed 27.

Both are strong in attack and can trouble the opponent's defenders.

Whoever, turns out to be more compact and sorted, can pip the other to take an advantage.

    Details

Statistical preview Dortmund vs PSG, timing and TV listing
