Jamie Carragher admits he misjudged Pogba's ability as a footballer
Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher has admitted on social media that he was wrong in saying that Pogba was not as good as he was made out to be. Carragher had made this comment when United were still under Jose Mourinho and Pogba was not even half the player he is now. Carragher admitted his misjudgment when a fan pointed it out on social media.
What did Carragher say earlier?
Carragher's comments came after a video was released online which showed Pogba and Mourinho involved in a heated verbal exchange during a training session. Carragher believed Pogba was not even worth the hassle. He added, "There's an idea that there's one or the other. So if Mourinho goes, you'll see a new Paul Pogba. You won't, I can assure Man United fans, you won't."
Pogba has become United's most important player since Solskjaer's arrival
Since Solskjaer arrived at United and gave his players freedom to perform up front, Pogba has shown his true potential. He has let his creativity flow, and has become the most consistent among all of Manchester United players. He has been involved in 15 goals for Manchester United since Solskjaer took over.
What did Carragher say in response to the tweet?
A fan had pointed out on social media the comments Carragher had earlier made on Pogba, which did receive a response from the Liverpool legend. He said, "He's been a revelation since OGS came in because he's basically let him play without defending. I didn't see this turn around so I have no problem saying I was wrong."
