#GamingBytes: How to capture the Shiny Growlithe in Pokemon Go?
Pokemon Go introduced a new Shiny Pokemon at the beginning of this month. On September 1, Growlithe became the latest addition to a long list of Shiny Pokemon. Other additions include various new 'Field Research Challenges' and a new mythical Pokemon, Celebi. Since Growlithe is already popular among players looking to have the powerful Arcanine, we tell you how to capture Shiny Growlithe.
How is Shiny Growlithe different from regular Growlithe?
Both Shiny and normal Growlithe have the same powers. The only difference is in the appearance. Shiny Growlithe has a different color scheme than its regular counterpart and is extremely rare to come by. Players can recognize a Shiny Growlithe by the lighter orange fur and sparkling animation surrounding it. Its evolved form, Arcanine, has a similar orange-yellow fur as well.
How to capture a Shiny Growlithe?
When Shiny Growlithe was introduced in the game, it did not have an advanced spawn rate. Further, since Shiny Pokemons are rarer, anyway, capturing a Shiny Growlithe is incredibly hard. However, gamers could try using '10 Berries to catch Pokemon', as part of a field task. This would ensure an encounter with Growlithe. Alternately, they could try their luck searching in the wild.
Other exciting things in the Pokemon Go universe
Shiny Growlithe is not the only exciting thing in the Pokemon universe currently. There is also a Shiny Wingull out there and players have the chance of encountering legendary fire Pokemon Entei, by completing Field Research challenges on 7 different days.
