West Indies batsman Shimron Hetmyer has been acquired by Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) for a whopping Rs. 4.2 crore in the Indian Premier League (IPL) 2019 Auction in Jaipur. RCB look to gain from Hetmyer's big-hitting skills
Hetmyer set the CPL 2018 alive after finishing as the third highest run-scorer in the global T20 League. Playing for Guyana Amazon Warriors, the WI sensation amassed 440 runs, that included a century and two fifties. Hetmyer also showed his prowess last month in the first two ODIs against India, slamming 106 and 94. His big-hitting skills would definitely benefit RCB.

Hetmyer will add solidity to the RCB middle order that already bear the likes of Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers. The powerful West Indian man played in India this year and was a hit in the ODI series. He has already slammed three hundreds in ODIs. Interestingly, Hetmyer also has been the most consistent West Indian batsman in recent times.
