    What's the story

Champions Bayern Munich played out an entertaining 3-3 draw against Arminia Bielefeld in gameweek 21 of the Bundesliga 2020-21 season.

The Bavarians trailed 2-0 at half-time before Arminia led 3-1. However, Corentin Tolisso and Alphonso Davies rescued a point for the leaders.

Bayern have a five-point lead over RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga 2020-21 table.

    Here are further details.

    Match

How did the match pan out?

Michel Vlap and Amos Pieper scored in the ninth and 37th minute respectively to hand Arminia a shocking 2-0 lead.

Veteran forward Robert Lewandowski reduced the deficit three minutes after half-time.

Gebauer then restored Arminia's two-goal cushion as Tolisso and Davies responded in a spell of 12 minutes to level things for the hosts.

    In-form Lewandowski smashes these records

Lewandowski scored his 25th Bundesliga goal of the season. He is now the first player in Europe's top five leagues to reach the figure.

The veteran striker has raced to 30 goals in 29 games across competitions this season.

Lewandowski now has reached the 30-goal or more mark in six successive seasons for Bayern.

He now has 261 career Bundesliga goals.

Arminia equal a special record against Bayern

As per Opta, Arminia became just the third promoted team to score three-plus goals in an away game against Bayern at the Allianz Arena. Only VfB Stuttgart (4-1 in May 2018) and Fortuna Dusseldorf in November 2018 (3-3) achieved the milestone previously.

    Information

Bayern get past the 60-goal mark

Bayern have 49 points after 21 games this season. This was their fourth draw of the current league campaign. Notably, Bayern are the first side to register 60-plus goals in the Bundesliga 2020-21 season (61). They have a goal difference of +32.
