Daughter makes allegations against cricketer's mother
Santokh's daughter, Rajinder Kaur, has alleged that Jasprit's mother, Daljit Kaur, had a conversation with Santok but refused to let him meet or speak to his grandson. Rajinder even alleges that she didn't even give the 84-year-old Bumrah's phone number. This is why, dejected Santokh left for Ahmedabad with the hope of meeting his cricketer grandson.
Businessman to auto rickshaw driver
Santokh Singh Bumrah, who hailed from Uttarakhand, was an auto driver by profession. But that was not the case a few years ago. He was a successful businessman till his son, Jasprit's father, was alive. After his son passed away, the business began to fall and he had to resort to driving an auto rickshaw for a living.
Did Santokh take his own life?
Santokh has not seen his grandson for the last 17 years and wanted to meet him after seeing him on television. He was keen on meeting the Indian pacer on December 6th, Jasprit's birthday. However, after Jasprit's mother refused to let him meet his grandson, he called his son Balvinder Singh and told him he was leaving to meet his deceased wife.
