ICC ODI Rankings: Bumrah loses top spot, Boult replaces him
The ICC released the ODI rankings on Wednesday and India's ace pacer Jasprit Bumrah was displaced from the top. In the ICC ODI Rankings for Bowlers, Bumrah dropped to second position after a poor show in thre recently-concluded three-match series against New Zealand. Bumrah drops down to second after dismal show against NZ
Bumrah went wicketless in the series and couldn't give India the desired momentum. India lost the ODIs by a 3-0 margin. The ICC ODI Rankings for Bowlers sees Bumrah's points tally at 719. Boult, who didn't take any part in the series due to injury, tops the show (727 points). Mitchell Starc moved to eighth, with Matt Henry and Lockie Ferguson dropping places.
Taylor rises to fourth after grand show against India
In the ICC ODI Rankings for Batsmen, Ross Taylor rose to fourth after being the player of the series against India. Taylor has 828 rating points. He is below Pakistan's Babar Azam, who has 829 rating points. Martin Guptill rose to joint-15th in the rankings. The dashing opener now has 710 rating points and is tied with Fakhar Zaman and Usman Khawaja.
Indian pacers fall flat against New Zealand
The Indian pacers were not up to the mark in the three-match ODI series. They failed to defend 347 runs in the first ODI and then let New Zealand off the hook in the second encounter. On Tuesday, the pacers conceded 205 runs in 27.1 overs. Shardul Thakur was also dismal and conceded runs aplenty.
Jadeja moves to seventh in all-rounders rankings
In the all-rounders department, Afghanistan's Mohammad Nabi (301 rating points) tops the list followed by England's Ben Stokes (294) and Pakistan's Imad Wasim (278). India have only one player in the top-10 with Ravindra Jadeja (246) moving three places up to seventh spot.
