    What's the story

Team India captain Rohit Sharma is counted among the limited-overs greats in modern-day cricket.

Sharma is considered one of the most lethal batters in the T20I cricket due to his ability to hit boundaries at will.

He is also among the most successful skippers in the format and he recently guided India to three back-to-back T20I series wins.

Here we decode Sharma's T20I numbers.

    Runs

Sharma is the highest scorer in T20Is

Sharma is currently the leading run-getter in T20Is and the first player to surpass the 3,300-run mark in the format.

He has scored 3,308 runs in 124 games at an average of 32.75 while maintaining a 139.87 strike rate.

He's followed by New Zealand's Martin Guptill (3,299) and Virat Kohli (3,296).

Sharma has scored 45 runs in the first two T20Is versus Sri Lanka.

    50+ scores

He holds the record for joint-most fifty-plus scores

Sharma also holds the record for the joint-most fifty-plus scores in the T20I cricket.

He has smashed 30 fifty-plus scores in the format for India in 124 appearances.

He shares this record with the former skipper Kohli (97 games).

Pakistan's Babar Azam has registered 26 fifty-plus scores in 73 matches.

He is followed by David Warner (22) and Martin Guptill (22).

    Sixes

Sharma holds the record for second-most sixes in T20Is

Sharma has smashed the second-most number of sixes in the T20I cricket.

He has struck 155 sixes in 116 innings in T20Is.

He is only behind Guptil, who has registered 165 sixes under his name in the format in 112 games.

Universe boss Chris Gayle (124) is occupying 3rd spot in this list.

He is followed by Eoin Morgan (120) and Aaron Finch (113).

    Captaincy

He has best win percentage in T20I as captain

Sharma also has the best winning percentage in the T20I cricket as a captain (25 or more games).

He has led India in 27 T20I games. Out of these, India have won 23 games while losing four encounters.

He has a win percentage of 85.18.

Rohit has won his last eight T20I games on the trot since being appointed as India's regular T20I skipper.
