#GamingBytes: 'Breaking Bad' free mobile game coming in 2019
Breaking Bad remains Vince Gilligan's masterpiece, one of the best shows ever made. It is unsurprising that fans still cannot get enough of the cancer-stricken Chemistry teacher, Walter White's rise in the meth empire with ex-student Jesse Pinkman. Now, fans can experience the show in a different way, as a mobile game titled Breaking Bad: Criminal Elements is scheduled to release later this year.
New game will be strategy based, free to play
The upcoming game will offer fans a new way to get their Breaking Bad fix. Releasing for Android and iPhones, it is going to be free and strategy based. It is being developed by Plamee and will be published by FTX Games. Breaking Bad: Criminal Elements is expected to toss players into Gilligan's universe, which is absorbing and at the same time morally ambiguous.
A glimpse at Walter White's iconic hat
Not much is known about the gameplay or how the graphics are expected to be. However, in the video posted we see the camera move ominously towards a bald man in a jumpsuit. As the camera closes in, the man puts on the iconic black fedora hat, proving he is none other than Walter White, our protagonist. The video ends there, announcing the game.
Gilligan is impressed with the upcoming game
Gilligan said, "I have been very impressed with their commitment to building an authentic extension of the series' story universe. I think this will be a fun experience for fans, to interact with characters from Breaking Bad in a completely new way".
Familiar faces will return as gamers navigate moral choices
It has been hinted that familiar characters like Mike Ehrmantraut, Saul Goodman and Gus Fring will be also be returning to the game, apart from Walter and Jesse. Players have to interact with these characters and handle moral dilemmas and volatile personalities as they attempt to build and protect a meth empire so large that it would give serious competition to Heisenberg (White) himself.
