Kumar Mangalam Birla's son strikes superb ton in Ranji Trophy

Playing for Madhya Pradesh, Aryaman Birla struck his maiden Ranji century against Bengal.
Aryaman saves MP from defeat against Bengal
Creating waves with the willow in his hand, Aryaman has been in the news after scripting a fine ton to help MP secure a hard fought draw against Bengal in the 2018-19 Ranji Trophy. This was the youngster's third first-class match. MP were in trouble and needed a miracle from somewhere. He turned to be the savior with a knock of 103*.
Aryaman has the character to do well
The 21-year-old played just his third Ranji match, he already has a fifty to his name besides this century. In the previous match against Tamil Nadu, Aryaman slammed 51. He has 188 runs from 4 innings at an average of 47.00.
Aryaman thrilled to score a ton at Eden Gardens
The moment couldn't be better for the youngster as he slammed the ton at the historical Eden Gardens. As per a report, he said, "It was a special knock for me especially because we were in a difficult position and to get my maiden first class ton at Eden Gardens was a great feeling. As a child you hear so much about the stadium."
'I just want to take it game by game'
"It is important to not look too far ahead. I just want to take it game by game as it is going to be a long season. Looking too far ahead will be wrong on my part," said the southpaw after his brilliant ton.
Aryaman retained by Rajasthan Royals for IPL 12
This isn't just it for the young talented cricketer. On the day he cracked 103* against Bengal, another good news was awaiting him. Aryaman was one of the 16 players retained by Rajasthan Royals for the Indian Premier League 2019. He will, once again, rub his shoulders with some of the top international stars. Aryaman credited the IPL for his growth.
'IPL 2018 season gave me immense confidence'
"The IPL for me was a great opportunity to learn and grow as a person and also as a cricketer. Coming out of that IPL season gave me immense confidence. The goal is to keep evolving and growing," said the player.
