Indian batsman Rohit Sharma is set to feature for Mumbai in the ongoing Vijay Hazare Trophy. The senior member of the Indian side will play under the leadership of Shreyas Iyer. The chief selector of Mumbai, Ajit Agarkar confirmed Rohit's availability. "Yes, he will...we'll pick the team on October 10. Rohit will play for us in one or two games. The team will be led by Shreyas Iyer, who captained Mumbai in their last two games in the league stage," he said. Rohit's inclusion will give Mumbai plenty of impetus.

The next game for Mumbai in the tournament is against Bihar and a win will guarantee them a place in the last four. Last year, Rohit played two matches for Mumbai in the Vijay Hazare Trophy. He scored 4 and 16 in the two games. In total, he has played 23 List A games for Mumbai, averaging 37 with the bat. Rohit was overlooked for the Tests against West Indies but he wants to keep himself match ready for the upcoming ODI series.
