IPL 2018: Who are the best spinners?
Spinners have always been a crucial part of T20 teams and this IPL season is no different. Spinners are having a prolific campaign with leggies being the stand out-performers. However, this season it's not the same old boys from the past 10 editions weaving their magic, a new exciting lot has taken over. Here is the list of top spinners in IPL 11.
Mumbai Indians' Mayank Markande
Young Mayank has been the find of 2018 IPL so far. The 20-year-old was hardly heard of before this season, but this term he has left the best of international batsmen baffled. In 9 matches, the leg-spinner has bagged 12 wickets at an average of 19.16 while conceding 7.93 runs an over. Surely, it's turning out to be a dream debut season for Markande.
Sunrisers Hyderabad's Rashid Khan
Afghan spin wizard Rashid Khan has bagged 12 wickets in his 9 innings at an average of 21.25 and an economy of 7.08. He is turning out to be a tough nut to crack for the best of batsmen, especially reading his googlies. The number one ranked T20 bowler in the world is certainly living up to his reputation.
Kings XI Punjab's Mujeeb Ur Rahman
Afghanistan player Mujeeb Ur Rahman became the youngest player to make his IPL debut this season. Since then, he has bamboozled some fine batsmen. In 8 matches, Mujeeb has bagged 9 wickets at an average of 23.66 and an economy of 6.87. Mujeeb has become a key figure in Kings XI line-up. He is one of Ashwin's go-to bowlers at the death.
Mumbai Indians' Krunal Pandya
Krunal Pandya is definitely enjoying his campaign so far. The 27-year-old has bagged 8 wickets in his 9 matches at an average of 21.50 and an economy of 7.16. His ability to turn deliveries, even on dead pitches, is exciting to watch. If he continues with his exceptional performances this season, it won't be long before the national selectors get in touch with him.
