Suspended bowler, Ben Stokes cleared for England selection
Suspended English bowler, Ben Stokes has been cleared to resume his career and will be available for England selection, according to the ECB. He will be available for the upcoming tour of New Zealand. The 26-year-old all-rounder was suspended last September after being charged with affray in relation to the incident outside a night club in Bristol.
England's schedule
Stokes will join the England squad for the second half of a triangular T20 series with Australia and New Zealand. The series will be held in New Zealand from 3rd to 18th February. England will play 5 ODIs and 2 Tests against the Kiwis.
Ben's involvement in Bristol street brawl
Ben Stokes had been on suspension since 26 September after being arrested on suspicion of bodily harm following a brawl outside a nightclub in Bristol. He was allegedly seen punching two people on a street. Stokes has not played for England ever since the incident and missed out ODIs against West Indies, Ashes series in Australia, and start of ODI series against Australia.
