    What's the story

    The BCCI held a meeting at a posh hotel in the capital regarding the ongoing rift with the Supreme Court appointed CoA.

    The meeting was reportedly chaired by former BCCI president N Srinivasan.

    It is being viewed as a massive show of strength by the BCCI's office bearers.

    The members expressed their disappointment over certain unilateral decisions taken by the CoA.

    'BCCI working committee largely ineffective'

    The BCCI members feel that many decisions taken by the CoA, without consulting them, has made the working committee largely ineffective.

    The general body, not being consulted is against the rules and regulations inscribed.

    Reports claim that the members have decided to approach the apex court regarding the matter.

    A Special General Meeting will be convened next for further discussions.

    Who all attended the meeting and why?

    As many as 19 members attended the meeting with certain officials choosing the telephonic conference. The discussions centred around a host of issues, where the BCCI members have felt let down and misled by the CoA.

    The following issues were discussed-

    1) CoA's decision to reduce the minimum bid value of media rights of domestic and bilateral matches.

    2) Office bearers not being allowed to access bank accounts.

    3) The hiring of employees without consultation and paying them exorbitant salaries, such as Priya Gupta being appointed as GM.

    4) Decisions being taken without consulting the board.
