BCCI gives a fitting reply to CoA
BCCI secretary Amitabh Choudhary has written a letter to the Committee of Administrators, replying to the 12-pointer list sent earlier by the latter. According to reports, BCCI's Choudhary reminded the CoA of the Supreme Court's directives dated July 18, 2016, January 2, 2017 and January 30, 2017. The letter mentions how the CoA is not letting the BCCI to function properly. Here's more!
What was mentioned in BCCI's letter?
The board stated that they have not drifted from any of the court's directives listed in the mandate. Choudhary lashed out at the CoA that it isn't allowing office-bearers to function normally and directing issues at them that are not listed in the SC order. Choudhary also reminded the CoA that it has a limited and a well-defined role in the matters of BCCI.
SC's order directed for CoA in January 2017
It had two parts. 1) Expeditious implementation of Honourable Supreme Court judgement of July 18, 2016. 2) Supervision of management and administration of the BCCI. Choudhary lamented that the order does not contain anything what the CoA has been trying to implement of late.
BCCI's office bearers issue with CoA
Choudhary cited that the BCCI needs to function through office bearers as the CoA does not have a say in the matters of administration. He alleged that CoA wants to replace office bearers in BCCI with their own people and do not consider them legal.
