BCCI doubles salary of curators, umpires and analysts
The BCCI has doubled the match fees of its staff including curators, match officials, scorers and video analysts. The BCCI made this move, following a recommendation by former India wicket-keeper Saba Karim. Saba Karim is now the BCCI's general manager of cricket operations. The BCCI will also increase the pay of its national selectors.
BCCI give 100% raise to its umpires
Salary of 105 umpires, who have been with the Indian board since 2012, has been doubled. Since their appointment, this is the first time that their salary has been increased. For a first-class, three-day or 50-over game, the top 20 umpires will now receive Rs. 40,000/day as compared to Rs. 20,000 they used to receive earlier. Other 85 umpires would receive Rs. 30,000/day.
Umpires T20 match fee and daily allowance doubled
When it comes to T20 games, the top 20 umpires will be given Rs. 20,000. The remaining 85 umpires will make Rs. 15,000 for officiating in T20 games. The daily allowance of umpires has been doubled, as well, from Rs. 750 per day to Rs. 1500 for an outstation umpire and from Rs. 500 to Rs. 1,000 for the rest.
Curators' salaries increased for the first time since 2012
The five zonal and assistant curators were earlier paid Rs. 6 lakh and Rs 4.2 lakh per annum respectively. This fee was set in the year 2012. After Karim's recommendation, the BCCI has doubled the fee to Rs. 12 lakh per annum for the five zonal curators and Rs. 8.4 lakh per annum for others.
153 scorers to benefit from BCCI's pay hike
153 scorers under BCCI will now be paid Rs. 10,000 each for first-class, three-day or 50-over games. For T20s, they will be paid Rs. 5,000. Daily allowance has also been increased to Rs. 1,500 for outstation scorers and Rs. 1,000 for the rest.
