India's home schedule for 2019-20 season announced: Details here
Team India, who are currently playing the ICC World Cup 2019 in England, are up for a grueling home season ahead. The 2019-20 home season, which starts from September, would see India play five teams in a span of six months. India are scheduled to start proceedings against South Africa, when they play three Tests and three T20Is. Here're further details about the schedule.
India to play five Tests, involving South Africa and Bangladesh
The season would see India playing five Tests. While three of those Tests would be played against South Africa, from October 2 till 23, it would be followed by a couple more against Bangladesh, from November 14 to 26. These five Tests would be a part of India's campaign for the recently launched ICC Test Championship series. Notably, India are number one Test side.
India to focus play T20Is against several nations
With just five Tests, India would mostly put their focus on the white-ball cricket, especially T20Is, keeping in mind the ICC World T20 2020 in Australia. While the tournament would be played from October 2020, India would like to start their preparations a year early. They are scheduled to play 12 T20Is, three each against South Africa, Bangladesh, Windies and Zimbabwe.

Following is the itinerary for series against visiting Windies: December 6: 1st T20I in Mumbai December 8: 2nd T20I in Thiruvananthapuram December 11: 3rd T20I in Hyderabad December 15: 1st ODI in Chennai December 18: 2nd ODI in Visakhapatnam December 22: 3rd ODI in Cuttack
Three T20Is against Zimbabwe and three ODIs against Australia
Following is the itinerary for series against visiting Zimbabwe: January 5: 1st T20I in Guwahati January 7: 2nd T20I in Indore January 10: 3rd T20I in Pune India would play three ODIs against Australia on January 14, 17 and 19 in Mumbai, Rajkot and Bengaluru respectively.
India to travel to Caribbean following World Cup
Following the completion of their World Cup commitment, India would be traveling to the Windies for a complete tour. The T20Is for this tour would be played in Florida, USA. The schedule of this tour is yet to be announced by Cricket Windies (CWI). Following their home series against Australia, India would also travel to New Zealand for a complete tour.
