#GamingBytes: Battlefield V will not have map voting at launch
Battlefield V is the upcoming game by EA DICE and despite the release delay, the developers are keeping audience attention turned towards them by regularly providing new information. They are also working on user feedback to improve the game. When a user asked them about the map voting system, the developers responded that the said feature would be unavailable at launch. Read it here.
What is the map voting system?
The map voting system allows players to vote for their preferred map between rounds or between games and the lowest common denominator of the choices gets selected as the next playable map for that particular game.
No map voting, no worries for Battlefield V fans
When asked about map voting between rounds, Matthias Wagner, the Level Designer, replied, "Unfortunately, this will not be available at launch". However, this news was surprisingly taken well by fans. As records show, quite a few gamers prefer natural map rotation over the map voting system, as it allows them to play across various maps instead of being constricted to a few player favorites.
Other changes and features teased before the release
EA DICE also outlined the detailed list of all vehicles including tanks, reinforcements, transport vehicles and planes available in the game and gave a rundown for each of these. Ahead of its November 9 early release, we will get to see the official launch trailer, launch notes, guides and lists of offerings and some surprise that the developers are keeping under wraps presently.
Running over same old grounds, we find same old fears
Map voting is great eventually in the game as map popularity and player comfort levels build towards an overall better game experience. However, at launch, the exclusion of the map voting system in favor of map rotation seems like a better idea, as players can familiarize themselves with the different exciting maps offered in the game, before quickly settling on an absolute favorite.
