#GamingBytes: Battlefield V makes a crucial change before launch
What's the story
Gamers were disappointed when Battlefield V's release date got pushed to November 20.
However, the studio DICE had announced that this delay would help them improve the game using feedback collected during the beta phase.
It looks like it has done exactly that by introducing a major change based on community feedback.
Read all about this change and how it will affect the gameplay.
Details
All about the change in gameplay
When Battlefield V launches, players will see the revive icon has three variants.
It will have a normal size when no action is taken by a dead team-mate.
For team-mates who are asking for assistance, the revive icon will be of a larger size and will pulsate.
Lastly, for team-mates who do not want to be revived, the icon will be smaller and faded.
Gameplay
How will this change affect gameplay?
Battlefield V has promised to bring to gamers a World War II experience, they have never had before.
In such intense situations, split-second decisions in-game determine whether you will win or lose a mission.
The revival icon variants will definitely help gamers understand whether they should risk their own progress trying to revive a fallen team-mate.
It should make multiplayer modes more streamlined.

For those following Battlefield V news regularly, there were talks that the Madsen light machine gun would be a 'chapter reward'.
This had worried gamers that not being online at that time would lead them to lose out on specific rewards.
However, David Sirland, DICE Multiplayer Producer confirmed that only cosmetics would be locked behind chapters, weapons can be unlocked by other means.

A view on the need for beta testing
As the gaming industry becomes increasingly competitive, it is up to developers to anticipate players' wants to provide them with the most comprehensive and immersive experience.
However, it is not always possible to do so, which is why beta testing becomes necessary to improve games based on community feedback.
Battlefield V might be delaying its launch, but is promising a great game.
