#GamingBytes: All about the new DLC of Battlefield V
Battlefield V has been well received in the gaming community for bringing World War II to life, as we have never seen before. The game studio, DICE has been monitoring online multi-player mode and working on feedback of fans, ever since, to improve the gameplay experience. Now with the latest DLC update, Tides of War, releasing on Monday, here are the changes being introduced.
Some things remain the same
The new update, Tides of War Chapter 1: Overture will be keeping the essential features the same, according to the development team's Reddit post. The Time to Kill and the Time To Death aspect of the multi-player would remain unchanged. This essentially means the time it took for players to kill and die in the game will remain the same.
Two major changes in the update
One of the most important changes being introduced is the cutting down of time during revival animation, which will allow players to regain control faster. This means they will be vulnerable to enemy attacks, while reviving, for a smaller window. Moreover, the SMGs in the Medic class will get improved range and accuracy to put it on equal footing with the other classes.
The hail of bullets rain down
Weapons are getting massive changes, including the M1928A1 which has been nerfed down. Now, the maximum damage dealt would be 25.1, which was previously 30. Gewehr users can rejoice as the 3 hit kill range of the gun has been increased to 30 meters from 25 meters. Other changes including recoil reductions and reload adjustments are expected to improve weapon handling experience.
Other changes coming to the game
A time-saving change is the 'Apply All' feature that can be used on weapon skins as well as weapon load-outs across the factions. Deluxe Edition owners of the game have reason to cheer as the loot boxes titled 'Airlifts' will be arriving with this update and players will receive them on a weekly basis up until the point they reach 20.
What excites us most about the update
The most fascinating feature of this DLC is the time reduction for revival animation, meaning players can react much quicker to enemies nearby, giving a slight edge if they need to revive during battles. Weapon changes too are expected to significantly affect handling and gameplay.
