One jersey, one city
Barca's extravagant style for the 2018-19 home kit
Imagine the club airdropping the new home jersey above the Olympic pool in Barcelona. It wasn't just that, as a professional team of synchronized swimmers were also performing below. That's how crazy one can get. It was a stellar way to introduce a new kit that goes to sale from May 21 onwards across stores.
What is the new jersey all about?
The new Barcelona home kit is pretty much similar as last time with the shirt design representing attributes of the seasons gone by. The famous Blaugrana stripes can be seen alongside the blue sleeves. The socks and the shorts have changed though and have a new navy look. The shirt has 10 vertical stripes that represent 10 of the city's districts.
Know more about Barca's unveiling event
The outdoor pool came to light in the 1992 summer Olympics. The famous location saw club president Josep Maria Bartomeu and the city's mayor Ada Colau attend the event. Football free-styler Sergi Martínez ended his show after kicking the ball into the water. Synchronized swimmers then collected the ball before diver Adria Garcia jumped into the pool with the shirt appearing via a drone.
