Tamim Iqbal lauds role of BCCI in Team India's success
Bangladesh cricketer Tamim Iqbal has praised the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for its pivotal role in the Indian team's continuous success. In a conversation with Sportstar, he compared the BCCI with the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB), stressing that a collective vision among all stakeholders is vital for securing victories. Bangladesh are currently in India for the two-match Test series.
Iqbal highlights BCCI's clear plan for success
Iqbal highlighted how crucial it is for leaders to have a solid plan. He said, "The people at the top need to have a clear plan in terms of what they want to achieve." He also pointed out that while both the captain and the coach should be focused on winning, it's just as vital for the board to have the same goal.
Iqbal acknowledges BCB's achievements under former regime
Iqbal also reflected on the previous BCB administration, acknowledging their accomplishments despite some disagreements. He stated, "In the previous BCB regime, there were three former captains involved in the administration. Did the last board do everything wrong? No, they also did a lot of good things." He emphasized that while he may have had issues with some individuals at BCB, this does not negate their achievements.
