Bangladesh turn down PCB's day-night Test proposal
The Bangladesh Cricket Board, on Tuesday, refused to participate in the proposed Day-Night Test match in Pakistan. The BCB's Chief Executive Nizamuddin Chowdhury revealed the team management is not ready to take up the pink ball challenge with minimal preparation time. Earlier, the Pakistan Cricket Board had has expressed its desire to host a Day-Night Test in Karachi.
Not ready to play Day-Night Test at the moment: BCB
"We have spoken with our team management and they are not ready to play Day-Night Test at the moment due to lack of preparation," said Chowdhury. He added, "Taking everything into consideration we have decided not to play Day-Night Test match in Pakistan."
Bangladesh's first tour of Pakistan since 2008
This is the first time Bangladesh are touring Pakistan in 12 years. Their last international assignment was a five-match ODI series, followed by the Asia Cup in 2008. The BCB earlier gave a green signal to Bangladesh cricket team for a split series tour in Pakistan. "It is a win-win outcome for both the boards," the PCB's Chief Executive Wasim Khan had said.

Bangladesh are yet to register a win in the tour
Having earlier lost the T20I series 2-0 and the first Test in Rawalpindi to the hosts, Bangladesh are so far winless in the tour. They will hope for a turnaround in the second Test. However, Bangladesh will return in April this year to play the one-off ODI and second Test as March has been slated for the PSL.
