RCB vs CSK: Who will win today?
CSK have the golden opportunity to become IPL 11 table toppers when they travel to the Chinnaswamy Stadium to take on arch rivals RCB in match number 24. Having lost just one out of their five matches, Chennai are in red-hot form whereas Bangalore have just 2 wins in 5 games. So who will reign supreme tonight? Here is our prediction.
RCB vs CSK is more than just cricket
Talk about the rivalry and nothing can get better than this, Bangalore vs Chennai. The Great South Indian derby is much more than just cricket, especially with the Cauvery water issue looming over this fixture. Political issues aside, this is definitely going to be the most watched match in the IPL, after all it is Virat Kohli vs MS Dhoni.
How much will RCB score tonight?
In Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers, RCB have two of the most consistent performers in world cricket. Not just consistent, these two are match winners who can score big. If RCB bat first, you can expect a score in the range of 180 plus. RCB's batting will be put through a litmus test tonight as Chennai boast a formidable bowling attack.
How much will CSK score?
Smooth-sailing Chennai have proved, over the last few games, that they are not dependent on just one or two players, unlike RCB. Several players from the yellow brigade have risen up to the occasion when the team needed them. With a deep batting line up and several power hitters in the squad, we expect a total of 190 plus if CSK bat first.
Who will win the bragging rights?
There is no clear favourite here, despite RCB being the side low on confidence right now. Kohli is not going to let this one go easily. Form favors Chennai Super Kings, but the spirit says RCB. Bangalore's bowling has always been a concern but if Tim Southee makes into Playing XI, we expect Kohli's side to have enough firepower to see this though.
