Gareth Bale might leave Real Madrid soon: Zinedine Zidane
It seems Gareth Bale's stay at Real Madrid is all set to be over. This is one transfer activity that has been expected by all in this summer window. Notably, manager Zinedine Zidane has never considered Bale as part of his plans since a while now. The Frenchman confirmed that it is good for everyone if Bale leaves. Here's more about this alleged move.
We hope he leaves soon: Zidane
"We hope he leaves soon. It would be best for everyone. We are working on his transfer to a new team. I have nothing personal against him, but there comes a time where things are done because they must be done," said Real boss Zidane.
Bale doesn't fit in Real's plans
Bale moved to Real from Tottenham at then world record fee of £85 mn in 2013. Since then, the Welshman has won a host of trophies that includes a staggering four Champions League honors. Bale was instrumental in Real's win over current holders Liverpool in the 2017-18 Champions League finale. But despite doing all of that, he doesn't fit in Real's plans.
A look at Bale's time at Real Madrid
Across six seasons at Real, Bale featured in 231 matches and scored 102 goals. The former Spurs player won a total of 13 trophies during his time here. He wanted to end his career with Real as his family is well settled in Madrid. However, Bale never became a fan favorite at Bernabeu and was targeted by Spanish media for his love of golf.
Bale's other issues and Zidane wants him out
Bale has had issues with injuries and that saw him making just 79 La Liga appearances in the past four seasons. Notably, he played 42 matches for Los Blancos last term, and half of those came as a substitute. Zidane is wanting a change and has identified the team he wants to go with. And unfortunately, Bale doesn't feature in that team.
Zidane is a disgrace, says Bale's agent
"I have to make decisions. We have to change. The exit is the coach's decision," added Zidane on Bale. These words didn't go well with Bale's agent Jonathan Barnett. He told AFP, "Zidane is a disgrace - he shows no respect for a player that has done so much for Real Madrid." He also confirmed that work on a transfer is being done.

He has three years left on his contract. Interestingly, Bayern Munich, Manchester United and Tottenham are interested in acquiring him. One waits to see what turn the Bale saga takes.
