What's the story
Former Pakistan captain Babar Azam reached a major career milestone, scoring his 6,000th ODI run in the tri-series final against New Zealand on February 14.
Babar achieved the feat in his 123rd inning (126th match), becoming the joint-fastest player alongside former South African opener Hashim Amla to reach the landmark.
Meanwhile, he was sent back by Nathan Smith after scoring 29 off 34 balls as Pakistan were folded for 242.
For New Zealand, Will O'Rourke returned with figures of 4/43.
Record-breaking feat
Babar outpaces Kohli in race to 6,000 ODI runs
Babar's feat is especially remarkable since he crossed the 6,000-run milestone quicker than Indian cricketing superstar Virat Kohli.
Kohli had previously set the record for scoring his 6,000th run in his 136th inning in an ODI against Sri Lanka in 2014.
However, Babar broke the record by achieving the same in just 123 innings.
New Zealand's Kane Williamson and Australia's David Warner feature in top five fastest players to score 6,000 ODI runs. They both reached it in 139 innings.
