Afghanistan's Azmatullah Omarzai has secured the number one position in the latest ICC ODI Rankings for all-rounders. His phenomenal show in the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy was instrumental in this feat.
Although Afghanistan crashed out of the tournament, with one win, one loss, and a washout from three matches in Group B, Omarzai's individual brilliance stood out.
He jumped two spots to achieve his career-best rating points of 296.

Omarzai's rise to the summit of the ICC ODI All-rounder Rankings was paved by a string of stellar performances.
He made history by taking five wickets against England, becoming the first Afghan bowler to do so in a Champions Trophy match.
Further, he displayed his batting skills with 41 and 67 against England and Australia, respectively.
However, despite his individual brilliance, Afghanistan's campaign ended early with just three points on their tally.

Axar Patel, Marco Jansen make significant strides
India's Axar Patel made a giant leap in the ICC ODI Rankings for all-rounders, jumping 17 places to the number 13. He now has career-best rating points worth 194.
He has cemented his place as a key player for India, batting at number five and picking up crucial wickets in the middle overs.
South Africa's Marco Jansen also made a big jump, moving up six spots to 15th among all-rounders.

India's Hardik Pandya jumped two spots to take the 21st position in the latest ICC ODI All-rounder Rankings.
Meanwhile, New Zealand's ODI skipper Mitchell Santner has dethroned Rashid Khan to grab the fifth spot.
England seamer Jofra Archer also made a huge leap, jumping 20 places to take the 67th spot after his stellar performance against South Africa in their last game.

Varun Chakravarthy sees biggest jump in bowling rankings
Among bowlers, India's Varun Chakravarthy made the biggest jump in the ICC rankings, moving up a whopping 143 places to reach the 96th spot.
In batting rankings, Shubman Gill retained his top position, while Virat Kohli moved up to the fourth spot.
Indian captain Rohit Sharma dropped two places to the fifth spot.
Shreyas Iyer also climbed to the eighth spot with 702 rating points.
