Axar Patel showed his heroics with the bat in the first ODI versus England in Nagpur on Thursday.
Chasing 249 runs, Axar walked in at number 5 when India were 113/3. Axar joined hands with Shubman Gill and the two added 108 runs for the 4th wicket.
Axar looked solid with the bat before being dismissed by Adil Rashid.
India won the contest thereafter.

After the match, Axar said he knew in advance that a batting promotion could be on offer.
"I knew in advances that I could get a promotion because of left-right combo. We were trying to take calculative assaults (in the partnership with Gill)."
On bowling, he said India wanted to bowl in the right areas as the surface had something for spinners.
