Axar Patel completes 1,500 runs in IPL: Key stats
Delhi Capitals all-rounder Axar Patel has completed 1,500 runs in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Axar unlocked this achievement in Match 40 against Gujarat Titans at the Arun Jaitley Stadium in Delhi. The Indian all-rounder attained the feat with his 25th run. Axar, who has also represented Punjab Kings, owns over 100 wickets in the tournament. He slammed 66 versus GT on Wednesday.
His batting stats in IPL
Axar hit 66 from 43 balls. His knock was laced with five fours and four sixes (SR: 153.49). Playing his 145th IPL match, Axar raced to 1,541 runs at 20.82. He registered his second fifty and a career-best score as well. As per ESPNcricinfo, Axar owns 855 runs for DC at 22.50 (50s: 2). 686 of his runs came for former employees Punjab Kings.
His journey in IPL
Axar started his IPL journey in 2014 for Kings XI Punjab (now Punjab Kings). He is still one of only four bowlers with over 60 IPL wickets for the Kings. Axar recorded 61 scalps at 28.93 for PBKS between 2014 and 2018. He also slammed over 680 runs for them. For the Capitals, the left-arm spinner owns 57 wickets at 32.40.
