Rishabh Pant sledges Tim Paine, calls him 'temporary captain'
The ongoing third Test match between India and Australia at the MCG is garnering a lot of attention apart from the action between bat and ball. Australian cricket team skipper Tim Paine has been the centre of it. He challenged Rohit Sharma in India's first innings. Paine then trolled Rishabh Pant in India's second innings. Now the Indian wicket-keeper has sledged Paine.
Paine had sledged Pant on Day three
Paine had trolled Pant on Day three of the third Test. The incident occurred in the final session of the day. The Aussie skipper teased Pant and reminded him about MS Dhoni returning to the ODI team. He also asked, "Do you babysit?" Pant did not react and went on with his innings. He targeted Paine today, while the latter was batting.
Pant uses the 'temporary captain' jibe on Paine
"You got a special guest today...come on manki (Mayank Agarwal). Have you heard a word temporary captain? Hai mank (Mayank)? Have you heard the word temporary captain ever? You don't need anything to get him out," Pant was heard talking behind the stumps.

Pant has been sledged right since the first Test
Pant has been in the receiving end during this Test series. He was sledged by the Aussies in Adelaide. And now at the MCG Test, Pant was targeted once again. Besides Paine, fast bowler Mitchell Starc also sledged the youngster. Credit to Pant for showing his cool. He has hit back with certain sense of humor and didn't cross the line.
This is what Paine had said to Pant
Paine said, "Tell you what big MS is back in the one day squad. Should get this bloke down to Hurricanes...They need a batter." He added, "Fancy that extend you Aussie holiday, beautiful town Hobart too...get him a waterfront apartment. Have him over for dinner. Do you baby sit? I can take my wife to the movies while you watch the kids."
