#IndiaInAustralia: Ishant Sharma now has 50 Test wickets against Australia
Ishant Sharma has been a revelation as India's leading pace bowler and he looked terrific in the first Test against Australia, being held in Adelaide. Sharma took two wickets on Friday and in the process, he became the third Indian pacer, after Zaheer Khan and Kapil Dev, to pick 50 Test wickets against Australia. Australia ended the second day with their score reading 191/7.
Ishant accounts for wickets of Finch and Paine
Sharma took 41 innings to pick 50 Test wickets against Aussies. In the first innings of Aussies, Sharma dismissed opener Aaron Finch for a duck and then accounted for skipper Tim Paine's dismissal in the 63rd over. He ended the day with figures of 2/31 to keep the Aussies at bay and help India maintain a 59-run lead at the end of day two.
Ishant has bagged 22 Test wickets in Australia
Out of the 50 wickets, 22 have come in Australia in 11 Tests for Ishant. 3/38 is his best performance against the Aussies in their own backyard. At home, Ishant has 28 wickets against Australia from 12 Tests. The right-arm pacer has 258 career wickets to his name in 88 Tests.
