'You're gonna make it, don't cry', Serena Williams comforts youngster
23-time women's singles Grand Slam winner Serena Williams comforted youngster Dayana Yastremska after defeating her in the third round of the Australian Open 2019. Serena powered past the teenager in straight sets and did not drop a service game. Post her 6-2, 6-1 victory, the veteran tennis star consoled the teary eyed Ukrainian. Serena's opponent was not even born when the American won her first Grand Slam in the year 1999. "You're gonna make it, don't cry," said Serena to the 18-year-old. Serena also praised the youngster when asked about the future of Yastremska. "I thought she did really amazing," said the legend. Serena also recalled her early career and the challenges she had faced.
Serena recalls the days when she was younger
"She came out swinging and to be so young, she came out ready to go. When I was young I played against so many people and everyone I faced was intimidating and not easy. You just go out and do the best you can."

Serena is one of the favorites to win Australian Open
Serena is one of the leading favorites to win this year's Australian Open. She won her last Slam here in 2017. The tennis ace is eyeing a 24th Grand Slam singles title and she has looked in fine form till now. Her dominance in this match showed that she is enjoying her game. Serena is on track to win a record eighth Australian Open.
