Australia hammered England to lift the ICC Women's World Cup 2022 trophy on Sunday. The Aussies were top-notch throughout the tournament and the final was an extension of their dominance. Healy smashed a superb 170, drawing applauds from all across the globe. Her knock was studded with 26 fours. She faced 138 deliveries and had a strike rate of 138.19. Notably, she has raced to 2,639 runs at an average of 36.65. She smashed her fifth ODI hundred. Also, this is her best score in ODI cricket.
Highest scorer in ICC World Cup 2022
Healy has now raced to 607 runs in the Women's World Cup at 50.58. This was her second century in the global event. She is now the seventh Aussie cricketer to surpass 600 World Cup runs. In the ICC World Cup 2022 event, Healy finished as the highest scorer (509 runs). She averaged 56.55, slamming two tons and two fifties.
Highest individual score in CWC final
Healy's 170 is now the sixth-highest individual score in the global cricket event. She is behind the likes of BJ Clark (229*), A Athapaththu (178*), CM Edwards (173*), Harmanpreet Kaur (171*), and SR Taylor (171). Healy's 170 is now the highest individual score in the final of the ICC World Cup across genders. She surpassed Adam Gilchrist's 149 versus Sri Lanka in 2007.
Most runs in a single Women's WC edition
Healy finished the tournament with the most runs (509). This is now the highest tally in a single edition of the Women's World Cup. Meanwhile, Rachael Haynes slammed 497 runs in the 2022 World Cup. This is the second-best tally in a WC event. The two Aussie batters broke a 25-year-old record held by set by Debbie Hockley (456 runs in 1997).
Natalie Sciver hammers these records
Natalie Sciver hammered an unbeaten 148 from 121 balls. She smashed 15 fours and a six. She now has 2,711 runs in ODIs at 41.70. This was her fifth century in ODIs, besides the best score as well. She has surpassed the 800-run mark in Women's World Cup (805), becoming the fourth England cricketer to achieve this mark. She slammed her fourth WC century.
Australia post highest team total in a CWC final
Australia's 356/5 is now the highest team total in a World Cup final (men's and women's). This is also the seventh-highest scorer in Women's World Cup history. The Aussies also posted the highest score in the Women's World Cup 2022 event.
2022 WC: Sciver finishes as third-highest scorer
Sciver finished the ICC Women's World Cup 2022 with a tally of 436 runs. She clocked an average of 72.66. She slammed two tons and a fifty. She was one of the four batters in the tournament with 400-plus runs.
Haynes and Mooney attain these feats
Haynes smashed a superb 68 at the top for Australia Women. She smashed seven fours in a 97-ball effort. Haynes has 2,585 runs in ODIs at 39.76. She slammed her 19th ODI fifty. Haynes has 798 runs in the Women's World Cup at at 49.87. Beth Mooney registered a 47-ball 62. Mooney has 1,750 ODI runs at 50.00 (12th ODI fifty).

Australia's Megan Schutt (2/42) finished with nine scalps in the tournament. Overall, she has picked up 112 wickets in ODIs. Alana King (3/64) finished as the second-highest wicket-taker for Australia (12), behind Jess Jonassen (13). Jonassen took three scalps for 57. She has 131 wickets in ODI cricket. For England, Anya Shrubsole (3/46) finished with nine scalps.
How did the match pan out?
Australia were helped by two massive partnerships in the beginning. Healy and Haynes added 160 runs for the first wicket. Healy also added another 156 runs alongside Mooney. Australia powered themselves to 356/5, with 120 runs coming off the last 10 overs. In reply, England were folded for 285. Sciver played a lone hand as the Aussies were superb with the ball.
7th Women's World Cup win for Australia
By winning the 2022 event, Australia Women have now sealed seven World Cup wins. Prior to this, they had tasted success in 1978, 1982, 1988, 1997, 2005, and 2013. Four-time winners England lost their fourth World Cup final.
