    What's the story

Australia beat Pakistan in match number 17 of the ICC World Cup 2019.

It was a poor batting performance from Pakistan, who surrendered the momentum in a chase of 308.

Batting first, Australia rode on a century from David Warner to post 307.

Mohammad Amir (5/30) bowled his heart out.

    Here are the records broken.

    Warner feats

Ton-up Warner smashes a host of feats

David Warner (107) slammed his maiden ton in CWC 19.

It was also his third fifty-plus score in the tournament.

Warner now has 255 runs in the 2019 World Cup at an average of 85.00.

He is the second highest run-scorer after Shakib Al Hasan (260).

Warner smashed his 15th career ODI ton.

This was Warner's third successive ODI century against Pakistan.

    Finch stats

In-form Finch strikes 23rd career ODI fifty

Aaron Finch (82) now has 190 runs for Australia in CWC 19.

He is currently the fourth highest run-scorer in World Cup 2019.

Finch surpassed the 800-run mark this year (824).

He slammed his fifth ODI fifty in 2019 and a 23rd career one as well.

Finch and Warner added 146 runs for the opening wicket.

This was their sixth career 100-plus partnership (ODIs).

    Amir records

Amir picks up maiden ODI five-wicket haul

Mohammad Amir (5/30) picked up his maiden five-wicket haul in ODI cricket.

He now has 70 career ODI wickets in 53 innings.

Amir now has the best bowling figures at The Cooper Associates County Ground in Taunton.

He also scripted the fourth best bowling figures in the World Cup for Pakistan.

Amir has picked up 10 wickets in CWC 19 and leads the show.

    Individual feats

Feats for Imam, Khawaja and Cummins

Imam-ul-Haq smashed his third ODI fifty in 2019 and a maiden World Cup one as well.

The left-handed batsman amassed his sixth career ODI fifty.

Usman Khawaja (18) is the first player in 2019 to get past 850 ODI runs.

Pat Cummins has nine wickets in CWC 19 and went past Lockie Ferguson (8).

He is now the highest wicket-taker in ODIs this year.

    AUS vs PAK

How did the match pan out?

Australia got off to a terrific start and both openers were superb with their timing and scoring rate.

At one stage they looked like getting past the 360-run mark, but Pakistan managed to take wickets.

The Australian middle order didn't offer substance.

Amir was terrific at the death.

In reply, Pakistan were cruising along with Imam and Hafeez.

But their wickets jolted the side.
