World T20 champions Australia top ICC Women's T20I rankings
The Australian women's cricket team tasted success after completing an emphatic eight-wicket win over England to claim their fourth ICC Women's World Twenty20 title. The Aussies bowled out England for a paltry score of 105, before chasing the target down with 29 balls to spare. And the tournament victory means that they sit on the top of the ICC Women's T20I rankings.
Aussies dominate proceedings with England following suit
Australia maintained their dominance in the rankings with a tally of 7,937 points, besides 283 rating points. Runners-up England are second in the list with 6,567 points and 274 rating. New Zealand women are on third place with 7,925 points with a rating of 273. The Kiwis are followed by the West Indies, who bowed out in the semis of the WT20.
Indian women's team on fifth despite reaching semis
The Indian eves are on fifth with 7,993 points and a rating of 256. India were thrashed in the semi-final by England in Antigua, by a whopping margin of 8 wickets. The Harman Kaur-led side was bowled out for 112, and England chased down the target with 17 balls to spare. Prior to that, India had won all their matches.

How Aussie became the world champions?
Australia's Ashleigh Gardner was the star of the final. She picked 3/22 with the ball and then shared a stunning 62-run stand with Lanning to take her side home. Megan Schutt (2/13) made her presence felt as well. For England, opening batswoman Danielle Wyatt scored a 37-ball 43 to help England post a 100+ total. The Aussies then chased down the target with ease.
