Sachin Tendulkar's son, Arjun Tendulkar, is turning out to be quite a sensation. The left-arm pacer, Arjun was outstanding with the ball for his side Vijay Merchant XI in the KC Mahindra Shield U-19 tournament. Arjun picked a stunning 6/70 against Vijay Manjrekar XI to claim the bragging rights. Here is more on Arjun's performance.
Arjun's performance comes at the right time
The performance comes at the right time for Arjun, who will hope to be in the scheme of things for India A and the Indian U-19 teams. His excellent spell saw Vijay Manjrekar XI get to only 216 runs in the second innings. Arjun's team sealed the match in style after chasing down 120 runs. Besides Arjun, batsman Pragnesh Kanpillewar smashed 155 as well.
Arjun striking the right chords
Recently, the youngster had performed well in the Vinoo Mankad Trophy, where he helped Mumbai to a victory over Gujarat. He had picked a five-wicket haul to impress one and all. Arjun will be hoping to continue his prime show and be in the reckoning for the IPL 12 auctions. He might register himself for the money-spinning league in 2019.
Arjun has been consistent
Arjun is an all-rounder and has been a part of Under-14 and Under-16 teams of Mumbai. He is known more for his pace-bowling and had taken a five-for against Railways last season to help Mumbai win the match. His performances against Madhya Pradesh and Assam were also lauded. He was handed a call-up for India's U-19 squad against Sri Lanka in 2018.
Arjun a future star in the making
The youngster is touted to be a future India star in the making. He is often seen bowling at the nets to the senior men's Indian team. He was in England this year and bowled to Virat Kohli and boys. Tendulkar Jr. has been instrumental till now, and that might help him fetch big bucks in the upcoming IPL 2019 auctions.
