Spanish legend Andres Iniesta, who bid farewell to boyhood club Barcelona last week, has decided on where he will play next. The 34-year-old, who played 674 games for the Catalan giants, will travel to Japan in order to link up with Vissel Kobe. Iniesta posted a photo of himself with Kobe owner Hiroshi Mikitani, from inside the plane, on his way to Japan.

He spent 22 years in Barcelona after joining the club at the age of 12. Iniesta won 22 major titles during his time at the club. The player was given a grand farewell in his final game for the club at the Camp Nou last week. Barca celebrated their domestic double win in the 2017-18 season and beat Real Sociedad in their final match.
Spaniard joins former Arsenal star Podolski
The Spanish midfielder will be joining former Arsenal and Germany versatile forward Lukas Podolski at Kobe. Kobe are sixth in the J-League after a total of 15 games. They had finished a disappointing ninth last season. Iniesta's arrival will certainly boost the club and increase the excitement of the Asian fans. Iniesta is most likely to feature after the 2018 World Cup in Russia.
