Day 11 of the Wimbledon 2018 saw the longest men's semi-final ever in the history of the game. Eighth seed Kevin Anderson played another scintillating match of his life as he prevailed in the semi-final against John Isner. Anderson prevails in marathon duel
South Africa's Anderson, who defeated Roger Federer in a marathon quarters match, was once again involved in a similar duel. The match took 6 hours and 35 minutes to complete before the eighth seed prevailed, 7-6, 6-7, 6-7, 6-4, 26-24. What was more interesting was that the final set itself took 2 hours and 35 minutes.
Records smashed as Anderson, Isner play a mighty duel
The match broke many records on the way. It broke the previous semi-final longest match record that took 4 hours and 44 minutes. In that match, Djokovic had beaten del Potro in 2013. The Anderson vs Isner match is the third longest in history and the 2nd longest at Wimbledon. Isner's 2010 match against Nicolas went for 11 hours and 5 minutes.

Djokovic led Rafael Nadal after three sets in their Wimbledon semis battle. The Serb leads the world number one 6-4, 3-6, 7-6. Saturday will witness an epic battle between the two legendary tennis players as the winner will face Anderson on Sunday. The entire day saw fans stuck to their seats as they witnessed two sensational matches.
