Bayern Munich's Alphonso Davies out for 'several months': Here's why
What's the story
Bayern Munich's full-back, Alphonso Davies, is set to remain out for a long time after suffering a serious cruciate ligament injury in his right knee.
The injury took place during Canada's 2-1 win over the United States in the Concacaf Nations League third-place play-off on Sunday.
The unfortunate incident will require surgical intervention and a long recovery process for the young player.

Another casualty
Bayern Munich's Dayot Upamecano also sidelined
Along with Davies, Bayern Munich defender Dayot Upamecano will also be missing for weeks due to a knee problem sustained while on international duty with France.
Bayern's sporting director Max Eberl expressed his disappointment over injuries during international breaks.
"Unfortunately, during international breaks there's always the risk that players will return injured - this time it's hit us particularly hard," said Eberl, as per BBC.
Team spirit
Eberl confident about team's ability to cope
Despite the injuries to key players, Eberl remains optimistic about his team's strength.
He said that their squad is robust enough to compensate for these absences and they will work even closer together now.
Eberl was confident about their quality and ability to continue pursuing their significant goals despite these setbacks.
"Our squad is strong and will compensate for these absences. We'll now work even closer together. We have the quality to continue pursuing our big goals."
