#GamingBytes: Pokémon fans rejoice! New smartphone game releasing soon
Pokémon are adorable and their games, fun. Soon, we will have a new Pokémon video game to play on our smartphones. Japanese mobile group DeNA recently announced a new release to its investors. This will be a mobile game, slated to release the next year, probably by March. Here is all that we know about the upcoming Pokémon video game.
The game's being created in association with The Pokémon Company
Not much information has been released about the game as it is still in the nascent stage, but DeNA has confirmed that it is working with The Pokémon Company to release a "new and exciting" game. The Pokémon Company is the official licensing and marketing company of the franchise, and has released multiple games in the past including the very popular Pokémon Go.
DeNA has some very popular products of its own
DeNA has previously worked with game developers to create some well-known games. With Nintendo, it produces several mobile games, including Super Mario Run, Fire Emblem Heroes, Animal Crossing Pocket Camp, and the upcoming Mario Kart Tour. Pokémon Go, however, was a collaboration between The Pokémon Company and American developer Niantic. Other popular Pokémon games include Pokémon TCG Online, Pokémon Shuffle, and Magikarp Jump.
Here's what the organization revealed about its plans
DeNA hasn't announced many details or plans for the launch and thus, there's no confirmation about the concept of the upcoming game. Most video game developers focus on real-world exploration, character matchmaking, and Pokémon training. Notably, the experience of playing a core Pokémon title like Sword & Shield, AKA Pokémon Switch hasn't been replicated by anyone. DeNA might be working on that!
In the meantime, you can watch 'Detective Pikachu'
The film has been released worldwide, which tells a mysterious and fun-filled story unfolding in a world full of Pokémon. Starring Justice Smith as Tim and Ryan Reynolds as the voice of Pikachu, the film has garnered some favorable reviews and is definitely worth a watch. Till the upcoming game releases, you can get your Pokémon fix with the film or the animated series.
