#GamingBytes: PUBG's new update brings major changes to game
PUBG, an intensely tactical Battle Royale, still enjoys massive popularity on PC, the platform where the game was first launched. Now, 2019 has brought with it the first major update to the game. Update 25 is hefty at 9GB and introduces a host of changes, specifically to the new Vikendi snow map. Read about the list of changes that this update has brought, here.
An all new SMG with a huge ammo capacity
The new update is bringing a new gun, which is something PUBG players are always eager to try out. The Bizon SMG will be available in Erangel and Vikendi. Using only 9mm bullets, the gun boasts a massive magazine capacity of 53 rounds. However, the gun does not fit any foregrip or magazine attachments, only sights and muzzle attachments can be fitted to it.
Switch up your weapon ranges with canted sights
The feature that has me most excited is the addition of canted sights to PUBG. This basically means weapons will now have two slots for sights and players can switch between them, depending on what range they want their weapon to be effective at. For example, players could use a holographic and 6x scope to use an M416 effectively at close and long ranges.
Vikendi brings in a new weather system and rebalanced loot
Most changes have been made to Vikendi, with a new weather setting allowing gamers to play in the moonlight. The snow map will be illuminated by the moon and the lights from Aurora Borealis, as players try to win the chicken dinner. Apart from weather changes, the developers have also brought a redistribution in the loot spawn on the map, as we had reported.
One glitch keeps an anticipated vehicle out of Vikendi
While several changes have come to the Vikendi map, players were looking forward to the introduction of the new snow bike. However, it turns out due to some glitches, it has not arrived with the recent update. Hopefully, we will see it soon in Vikendi.
