Raw Women's Championship: Sasha Banks went up against Ronda Rousey
Sasha Banks and Ronda Rousey were up against each other for the Raw Women's Championship. Rousey was booed by the audience who were totally on the corner of Banks. The two superstars lit up the ring and provided fans with an exciting encounter, one of the best of the night. Rousey retained the title, because WWE has something major planned for WrestleMania.
The Women's Royal Rumble match was amazing!
This was the first time WWE held a Women's Royal Rumble contest, and the match was carried out successfully by its supremely talented women in the roster. While Becky Lynch was not booked to feature in the match, she did make an appearance and to everyone's delight, won the bout. Rousey won her title and Lynch the Rumble. Brock Lesnar and Finn Balor clashed for the Universal Championship
WWE's guest champion Brock Lesnar showed up at the Royal Rumble to face the number one contender Finn Balor for the WWE Universal Championship. While everyone expected Lesnar to finally lose the title, the Beast Incarnate proved his detractors otherwise and retained the championship. The Royal Rumble winner will now surely defeat Lesnar for good at WrestleMania and introduce a full-time champion to WWE.
The Men's Royal Rumble match was a thriller
The men's Royal Rumble was the highlight of the show, and it did not disappoint. From Randy Orton, Kurt Angle, Kofi Kingston to Rey Mysterio- all major WWE stars fought in the match to headline WrestleMania. Nia Jax found a spot in the men's Rumble, but could not cause much damage. The winner? Seth Rollins! We always wanted him to get this honor.
