#GamingBytes: All you need to know about WWE 2K19
The latest in the series of WWE games, WWE 2K19, is scheduled to release this October. Game studios, Yuke's and Visual Concepts have intended this game to be a direct follow up to WWE 2K18. Though the game will be available for Windows, Xbox and PS4 users, there are no plans to introduce it for Nintendo Switch yet. Read about the game here.
A major shift in gameplay style
In the previous WWE versions, the gameplay was largely simulation based and fortunately, the developers have noted the gamers' dissatisfaction with the sluggish pace of the game. With this in mind, they have changed the core of their gameplay to include a more fluid and faster playing style. Notably, this marks a distinct departure from the last four WWE games.
The story of ringside success
For the first time since WWE 2K17's DLC titled, Hall of Fame, WWE is re-introducing its showcase mode. This is basically the story mode and gamers can play the story of Daniel Bryan. Gamers can control eleven unique models of Daniel across eleven matches. This will include his Velocity match against John Cena. There will also be a surprise twelfth match.
Pay the iron price in blood, sweat and tears
The re-invented career mode promises to be exciting as players get a more linear storyline, which pushes them into independent fights as they move up the ladder to eventually participate in WWE. This will be the series' first 'MyCareer' mode, which will feature voice acting. Baron Blade, a fictional character from the previous career modes, will be returning to guide gamers.
In the pantheon of legends
Some of the legendary wrestlers, gamers can access are Booker T, Andre the Giant, Eddie Guerrero, Goldberg, Edge, Flair, Kurt Angle, Rey, 'Stone Cold' Steve Austin, Shawn Michaels, The Rock, The Undertaker, Dusty Rhodes and many more.
All the editions you can buy
The standard edition will be playable from October 9. The pre-order bonus lets gamers access two playable characters, Rey and Ronda. The deluxe edition will be available from October 5 and give players access to collector's edition digital content and season pass. The 'Wooooo!' edition offers all this plus a piece of Flair's robe, doll and Hall of Fame ring replica.
