#GamingBytes: Everything you need to know about PUBG Season 4
PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds or PUBG remains one of the most tactical Battle Royales that can get really addictive due to the intense looting and realistic killing experience. The game is nearing the end of its third season and players have little time to play through all 100 levels for the Royal Pass. However, with Season 4 en route, here are the details you should know.
When is Season 4 coming to PUBG?
Every season in PUBG usually lasts for three months, meaning that Season 4 should be arriving in a couple of days. Season 2 wrapped up on August 18, thus Season 4 is logically expected to start from November 18. Unlocked items will remain the same across seasons, but players should make the most of the Royal Pass items and Halloween event before they reset.
A player for all seasons
When PUBG seasons change, the Royale Pass and Leader Boards are wiped clean. Since all players go back to square one, matches get highly competitive as gamers scramble to reclaim their top positions. At the season's end, rewards are distributed based on player ranks. Higher ranked players might get special clothing and crates, while lower ranks get basic crates or BP, the in-game currency.
How does rank get affected in seasons?
The ranking system matches players with similar ranks. However, at the season's beginning, these ranks are sometimes lowered to even the playing field. While good players progress quickly, some ranks are dropped more than expected. Therefore, as lower ranked players, you might encounter pros. However, they will soon move to tougher matches, or you could enjoy the thrill of a more competitive Battle Royale.
Gameplay changes in the new season
Usually, there is no major gameplay change at the immediate start of the season. The normal changes include the crate rewards and newer items in the shop. However, since the recent Halloween update only made cosmetic changes to the game, players can at least hope for some new weapons or vehicles to be arriving in-game. Naturally, the new weapon handling will affect the gameplay.
New map for a new season?
Rumors have been circulating about the winter map, Dihor Otok, that will bring snow and a new set of strategies to the Battle Royale. While no official date has been set for this map, it was teased to be a winter release. A new map for a new season would definitely attract a horde of players and provide a remarkable start to Season 4.
