Meet the mystery Pokemon who had fans excited
In the video, Professor Oak explained that the mystery Pokemon was none other than Meltan. If you have not heard of it, don't be surprised. Meltan is apparently a mythical Pokemon which has been mentioned in an ancient text. This makes it very interesting for the Pokemon lore. Meltan has also been described as a hex nut Pokemon which is curious and naturally expressive.
What can Meltan do on the battlefield?
Meltan has been described as a metal type Pokemon which is made of molten steel. Apart from the obvious Pokemon type, we know that Meltan corrodes metal and absorbs it into its body using its liquid arms and legs. The absorbed metal serves as an energy source to generate electricity. Importantly, it can be used as an attacking beam, being emitted from Meltan's eye.
Keeping an eye out for the changes
Pokemon Go players, who previously captured the Meltan, might see their Dittos changing into this mythical Pokemon. They should watch the Pokedex in the next few hours, according to an official tweet. The initial theory of the mystery Pokemon connecting Pokemon Go, with Let's Go, Pikachu and Eevee seem confirmed as the press release indicated that Meltan would symbolize the meeting of these games.
